About Dr. R. Laurence Berkowitz
Dr. Berkowitz has been practicing plastic surgery since 1979 and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery—the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. He served a residency in both general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Michigan. Doctor Berkowitz served as assistant professor at Stanford University from 1979 – 1982 at which time he was director of the Burn Unit at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Since 1982, Doctor Berkowitz has been in private practice in the Los Gatos/Campbell area where he currently resides.

Dr. Berkowitz is past chairman of the Division of Plastic Surgery at The Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose and is a member of many regional and national medical societies, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is an associate member of the prestigious Rhinoplasty Society. His practice is located in Campbell, CA.
