Denver - BOTOX Brow Lift - Photos Show Results Without Surgery

Dr. Michael McCracken says BOTOX can be very effective for milder cases of drooping eyebrows. "The effectiveness of BOTOX varies with each patient, and the injections are repeated periodically to maintain results. In many cases, advanced BOTOX injecting techniques can simulate the effects of a surgical procedure," he says.

Dr. McCracken says the BOTOX browlift works by placing injections to selectively weaken facial muscles, which changes the dynamic balance among muscles which are pulling in different directions.

Strategically placed injections of BOTOX Cosmetic create a lifting effect by relaxing the muscles that pull down on the eyebrows. With these muscles weakened, the brow lifts slightly, raising the ends of the eyebrows into a more pleasing arch and opening the eyes. The main lifting muscle of the brow creates lines when it lifts the forehead. By selectively weakening parts of this muscle, the lines are softened. The effects usually last up to 4 months and may be repeated as required.
